Box 811 <br />Canon City, CO 81215 <br />Re: Proposed Decision for Southfield Mine (Permit Number C 1981 014) <br />Permit Renewal Application No 6 (RN -06) <br />Dear Mr. Wilcox: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application <br />for coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. on <br />January 21, 2014 for the Southfield Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and <br />Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of <br />this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a <br />formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the <br />public notice by the Division in the Canon City Daily Record. <br />The underground mine is located approximately seven miles South of Florence, Colorado. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br />Mine Area: Portions of Sections 19, 30, and 31, Township 20S, Range 69N of the 6th P.M.; Sections 23, <br />24, 25, 26, and 36, Township 20S, Range 70W of the 6th P.M. <br />Loadout: Portions of Sections 17 and 18, Township 19S, Range 69W of the 6th P.M. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices in Denver (at the <br />above address) and at the Fremont County Clerk and Recorder: 615 Macon Avenue, Room B -5 (100), <br />Canon City, CO 81212. A copy of the Division's "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance" is <br />available at the Fremont County Clerk and Recorder and the Division office in Denver.
