Our review found the reports satisfied the
requirements for frequency of analysis and the reports contained the required content. The data
indicated no water quality compliance issues.
Samples are collected once per quarter from the Wiltse Well (King I Mine) and from three
locations at the King II Mine: 91 Up- gradient Monitoring Well; 92 Down - gradient monitoring
well; and 43 Hay Gulch Irrigation Ditch. Laboratory analyses were conducted by Green
Analytical Laboratories in Durango, and the Chain of Custody records were attached.
For the 2nd Quarter 2014 sampling effort, I accompanied the GCC Energy employee throughout
the process. My observations were documented in the Division's Inspection Report for June 23,
2014.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Marcia L.
