time it is notl There will certainly be maintenance, fueling at the pump site as well as maintenance and
access road to the pipe as well. This acreage needs to be added into the overall affected areas which
puts this application over the limit of 30 acres and as such should not be approved.
Because this permit does not meet the requirement of the "government contract calls for work to be
commenced and completed within a specified short time" and also because the affected area will be
greater than 30 acres this Application does not meet the criteria for a 111 Permit and should be denied.
We do not feel it is the intent of DRMS Board or Staff that the 111 Permit Application process should
eliminate already permitted sources who have been compliant under the stricter 110 and 112 Permit
processes from being competitive on supplying materials to the Highway 9 Project but this application
and the approval thereof, will most certainly do that. Our local economy and local jobs will be negatively
impacted by the expeditious and unfair approval of this 111 Permit Application.
Please do not approve this application.
Sincerely,
Norwick
President
Everist Materials
