TETRA TECH
March 4, 2015
Mr. Dustin Czapla
Reclamation Specialist
Division of Reclamation Mining & Safety
101 South 3rd Street, Suite 301
Grand Junction, CO 80203
Tetra Tech
SUBJECT: Permit No.: M- 1998 -022 Conger Harvesting Area
Technical Revision Request to Revise Mine Permit Area Access
Dear Mr. Czapla:
Gallegos Corporation is requesting a Technical Revision to its mining permit for access to the United
States Forest Service (USFS) harvesting area through the Robert Raymond Property instead of the
former Gallegos property. This change in access is needed because Glen and Diane Gallegos sold the
property to Marble Airfield LLC in 2014 and Gallegos Corporation could not negotiate an access
agreement with the new owners. The easement agreement between Gallegos Corporation and Robert
Raymond is attached. This access agreement has also been recorded with the Gunnison Clerk and
Recorder. The existing dirt road provides access from County Road 3 to Robert Raymond's property past
the former Gallegos property under an existing right -of -way agreement that is included in the current
mining permit. The access road across the Robert Raymond Property to the USFS harvesting area is
shown on the attached Figure 1.
Should you have any questions or need additional information, please either call (970.986.3566) or
email me at bill.balaz @tetratech.com.
Sincerely,
Tetra Tech, Inc.
William P. Balaz Jr., PE
Senior Mining and Civil Engineer
Cc: Gary Woodworth, Gallegos Corporation
Frank Gutierrez, Gallegos Corporation
