Richardson Lode Claims, File No. M- 2014 -066
Dear Mr Cunningham:
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the proposed project. Our goal in responding
to land use proposals such as this is to provide complete, consistent, and timely information
to all entities who request comment on matters within our statutory authority.
The proposed mining plan for the Iron Et Wm. Richardson Lode Claims in Gilpin County,
Colorado, is the removal of existing surface "dump" ore from historical mining with
approximately one acre of disturbance.
Upon review of the proposed project, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has no objection to
the project, as the project will have minimal impacts on wildlife habitats. However, the CPW
recommends that native vegetation and seed be used during reclamation of the area. We
also recommend that a weed management and erosion control plan be implemented.
Please do not hesitate to contact us about ways to continue developing and managing your
project in order to maximize wildlife value while minimizing potential conflicts. If you have
any further questions, please contact District Wildlife Manager Tim Woodward at (303) 291-
7139.
Sincerely,
Reid Dewalt
Area Wildlife Manager
Cc: S.
