DETAILED SITE INSPECTION OBSERVATIONS
Contract expired in 2005 but did not close due to intended future mining
and reclamation is not complete. Overall good housekeeping. The only
GENERAL COMPLIANCE
debris was what appeared to be an old broken pallet.
None
v,
SITE DEVELOPMENT
a
Active
v~i
OPERATIONAL PHASE
z
gReclamation
needs completed. Several piles and a few highwalls still
z
RECLAMATION STATUS
remain.
O
(TOPSOIL, ROADS, ETC.)
Q

No erosion or sedimentation is apparent even on the steep southern
g
EROSION/ SEDIMENTATION
boundary. d
U
w
No explosives are kept on site. The use of explosives is not likely for this
z
EXPLOSIVES
type of operation.
There does not appear to be any safety issues. There are a few highwalls of
12 -20 feet which have piles of dirt at the top — possibly considered
SAFETY
berming. The road is overgrown and does not show evidence of regular use
so trespassing does not seem to be a problem.
ENGINEERING/ GEOLOGIC & STABILITY
The area appears to be stable.
CONDITIONS
The DRMS sign is posted near the pit. No problems or requests were noted
on DRMS's last inspection in May 2011. 1 have not located an MSHA ID # so
OTHER LOCAL/ STATE/ FEDERAL REQ. &
I am unaware if they were ever registered. If there was no MSHA
COMPLIANCE
registration there needs to be before operations begin again.
