DETAILED SITE INSPECTION OBSERVATIONS <br />Overall, it appears Colorado Quarries is following the approved mining and <br />GENERAL COMPLIANCE <br />reclamation plans. A new contract is needed with the BLM when mining <br />initiates back onto BLM property. <br />The permit boundary is fenced. The entrance is gated and signed. A game <br />SITE DEVELOPMENT <br />camera is hidden in the pile of rocks to the left of the gate. Topsoil is <br />stockpiled and vegetated. <br />N <br />There is facing high 30 feet high —50- <br />a south wall approximately -40 within <br />zQ <br />100 yards of the permit boundary. One area to the west of the high wall <br />a <br />has been graded into a gentle slope possibly for reclamation. It does not <br />zo <br />OPERATIONAL PHASE <br />appear that the operation is currently mining BLM land. On the east side of <br />the highwall there has been recent work. This work appears to be clearing <br />a <br />of vegetation to prepare for mining further north. <br />g <br />LU <br />No recent reclamation is observed. However, an area near the high wall <br />RECLAMATION STATUS <br />has been graded and sloped possibly in preparation for reclamation. <br />w <br />(TOPSOIL, ROADS, ETC.) <br />Z_ <br />Erosion and sedimentation did not appear to be an issue anywhere on site. <br />EROSION/ SEDIMENTATION <br />Explosives are not used in this operation and were not observed on site <br />EXPLOSIVES <br />during the inspection. <br />The area is fenced to keep out the public. <br />SAFETY <br />ENGINEERING/ GEOLOGIC & STABILITY <br />The high wall appeared stable. <br />CONDITIONS <br />OTHER LOCAL/ STATE/ FEDERAL REQ. & <br />The DRMS mine Sign was posted. <br />COMPLIANCE <br />
