'MrWr5
Sept 27, 2015
Board of County Commissioners:
RECEIVED
FEB 2 , 20'15
--DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
MINING AND SAFETY
Good Morning,
My name is Randy Brenner and I live with my son and his wife and three grandchildren at
198 county rd 1001. We are around 1000 feet from the proposed gravel pit on Blue Valley Ranch.
This is truly a terrible plan on the State if this is to be allowed. Our understanding of this job over
the past couple years never one time included the need for a gravel pit with Asphalt, Concrete,
Aggregate production. This was presented to us by some out of town contractor that insists that
no pit no hwy job. That is wrong in every sense of good business practices. Now this might make
the contractor more money but at our expense. We need the state of Colorado to protect us from
BIG BUISNESS coming in and destroying our quality of life. This will also affect our property
values for sure during the 3-4yrs of this work and only the future will tell how much past that. We
are only individuals without deep financial pockets and our homes /land and qualities of life are all
we have.
I am convinced the owner of BVR would not allow the neighbors to be financially hurt by the use
of his property for this project. I'm sure his intent was to make sure this project goes and it is. The
need to produce materials for this job now is strictly for cost savings to the contractor /State at the
risk of devaluing the landowners in that neighborhood.
This company will come and go without any concern for us. That is why I am reaching out to you
PLEASE protect us and all we have so that someone doesn't hurt us so they can make more
money. Please we need your help!
R S ctfully
an Brenner
198 cnty rd 1001
Concerned Land Owner
Proud resident of the State of Colorado
970 -406 -2105
