PERMIT #: M- 2014 -070
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: February 25, 2015
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine pre - operational inspection prior to the approval of the permit for the 112c GoodMiller #2
Pit, M2014 -070. The inspection was conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS and permittee Mike Miller. The site is
located in Weld County approximately one mile north of the intersection of county road 80 and county road
115 on the west side of county road 115. The site is also located immediately west of the Weld County 112c
Ashbaugh Pit.
The corners of the permit were marked at the time of the inspection with lath and re -bar pins on the south
and west boundaries, and property fence lines on the north and east boundaries. DRMS advises the permittee
to verify the locations and install more easily visible and permanent permit boundary markers. Mr. Miller said
it was his intention to fence the permit area to prevent any issues with boundary identification and exclude
cattle from the permit area. The only items of note observed during the inspection were 3 geodetic survey
monuments within the permit boundary. The permittee /operator should take care to mark this monument so
that it is not disturbed by future activity at the site.
The 112c permit is being issued to resolve a significant boundary exceedance of the existing 110c permit
(M2013 -065) at this location. The Construction Materials rule prohibits the conversion of a 110c permit to a
112c permit within 2 years of issuance of the 110c. Therefore the new 112c permit will overlie the existing
110c permit until such time that the 110c permit can be released (2 yrs from issuance).
No other items /concerns were noted during this inspection, and the attached photos generally depict the pre -
mining condition of the permit area and surrounding vicinity.
Inspection Contact Address
Mike Miller
VESCO Consulting Services, LLC
1624 E Hwy 34
Greeley, CO 80633
Enclosure
CC:
