In addition all laboratory quality control samples were within established
control limits, with any exceptions noted below. Each sample was analyzed to achieve the lowest possible reporting limit within
the constraints of the method. In some cases, due to interference or analytes present at high concentrations, samples were
diluted. For diluted samples, the reporting limits are adjusted relative to the dilution required.
Calculations are performed before rounding to avoid round -off errors in calculated results.
All holding times were met and proper preservation noted for the methods performed on these samples, unless otherwise detailed
in the individual sections below.
RECEIPT
The samples were received on 4/17/2014 3:15 PM; the samples arrived in good condition, properly preserved and, where required,
on ice. The temperature of the cooler at receipt was 0.8° C.
No anomalies were encountered during sample receipt.
DISSOLVED METALS OCP)
The MS /MSD associated with prep batch 280 - 221479 exhibited spike recoveries outside QC control limits for Sodium. The
presence of the '4' qualifier in the report indicates analytes where the concentration in the unspiked sample exceeded four times
the spiking amount. The associated LCS was in control and demonstrates that operating procedures were in control. No further
action was required.
The laboratory control sample (LCS) associated with prep batch 280 - 222216 recovered outside control limits for Arsenic, Cadmium
and Molybdenum in analytical batch 280 - 222650. These analytes were biased high in the LCS and were not detected in the
associated samples; therefore, corrective action was deemed unnecessary.
The MS /MSD associated with prep batch 280 - 222216, performed on sample SMW -2 (280- 54414 -6) exhibited spike recoveries
outside QC control limits for several analytes. The presence of the A' qualifier in the report indicates analytes where the
concentration in the unspiked sample exceeded four times the spiking amount. The associated LCS was in control and
demonstrates that operating procedures were in control. No further action was required.
The continuing calibration verification (CCV) associated with batch 280 - 222216 recovered above the upper control limit for low
Sodium in analytical batch 280 - 222650. The sample associated with this CCV was non - detect for the affected analyte; therefore,
corrective action was deemed unnecessary. All other samples have been reported from the high Sodium line, which was within
established control limits.
The continuing calibration verification (CCV) associated with batch 280 - 222216 recovered above the upper control limit for
Molybdenum and Lead in analytical batch 280 - 222650. The samples associated with this CCV were non - detect for the affected
analytes; therefore, corrective action was deemed unnecessary.
No anomalies were observed.
TestAmerica Denver
Page 3 of 34 5/6/2014
