Cover material was being hauled to Gob Pile 42 during the inspection.
AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17:
Dust suppression was ongoing throughout the site on dirt access roads at the time of the inspection. No fugitive
dust was observed from the roads.
FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18:
Deer were moving through the facilities area, above Pond F, around Pond D, and under the conveyor above the
coal stockpile pad. Standing water in the ponds was not being pumped or discharging at the time of the inspection.
Pond embankments were well vegetated and stable with no signs of instability or erosion. Inlets and spillways
were stable and in good condition. No problems were noted with the exception of the following:
- Sediment deltas were observed at the east and west inlets of Pond B.
