C C <br /> <br />• <br />Greystone Development Consultants, [nc. <br />SUPPLEMENTAL SOILS REPORT <br />Additional samples were taken in April, 1984 at Wyoming Fuel <br />Company's New Elk Mine to supplement the soils report submitted to the state. <br />Samples were taken in the Midnight soil series at the upper reaches of the proposed <br />refuse disposal area and in the area of the proposed relocation of the Purgatoire <br />River channel in response to comments received from the CLMRD. <br />Results <br />As exhibited in the attached Table 1, no samples show signs of any <br />chemical unsuitability. Electrical conductivity, SAR, and pH are all within the <br />acceptable limits for a plant growth medium in the Midnight soil (MM and MN-N) <br />and in the alluvial material (AL) below the refuse that has been deposited along the <br />• river. An additional sample (bottom) was taken at 60-inch depth in the bottom of <br />the refuse disposal area to characterize the material below the rocky alluvium <br />located there. This material is also suitable as a plant growth medium. <br />• <br />
