Permit # M -1983 -067
On behalf of my client Albert Frei & Sons, Inc. I am submit-
ting this correspondence to update and keep you appraised of what
Albert Frei & Sons, Inc., is doing to investigate and mitigation
the ground water issues to the east of the Stagecoach Pit. This
information is provided since the last update on 10/24/14.
On Tuesday October 7, 2014 the boards were pulled from the
inlet structure on the inlet structure in the Zigon Lake. The
lake froze up in mid December and until January 29, 2015 when we
were no able to access the outlet vault due to the ice cover.
When visited the grate was clogged with leaves and flow was
greatly reduced. The water level in the outlet vault was down so
only half of the outlet pipe was flowing.
The result of the clean out and lowering the board in the
lake outlet vault is that the water is now above the inlet pipe
and the water is approximately 17 inches below the top of the
vault and approximately 350 GPM was leaving the lake. Since the
last update (85 days) the lake level has dropped an additional 11
inches below the grate. Attached are photos taken on November
4,11,17, & 25 and December 2 & 9 showing the inlet structure
until the lake froze and then January 29 during the last visit.
At this time we estimate the lake level had dropped by 20 to 25
