EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The native vegetation at the quarry consists of big and little bluestem, blue grama and side -oats
grama grasses with mountain mahogany and ponderosa pine. It is the intent of the operator to
return the reclaimed land to a pre- mining condition and is committed to re- vegetating with a
seed mixture that includes the native grasses, mountain shrubs and native wildflowers. Tree
seedlings will be randomly planted across the reclaimed areas.
The existing vegetation will remain as is and will not be disturbed until the requirement for
clearing and grubbing to open up new work areas. Currently, the north pit has a disturbed area
of 2.09 acres and the south pit has a disturbed area of 2.10 acres. In addition, there is 11.34
acres of disturbed area being used for storage of mined material. The combined disturbed area
for active mining and storage totals 15.53 acres. When this is combined with the areas of
reclamation started (1.33 acres) the total current area of disturbance is 16.86 ( -16.9) acres.
As noted, the combined total disturbed (active mining, mined material storage, reclamation)
acreage is currently 16.9 acres. However, the future total will be limited by agreement on a
yearly basis between the State of Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety and the
Operator of the mine. This limitation will be set according to the area of disturbance that has
been bonded by the operator of the mine. A Phasing Map for Future Permitting and
Reclamation is provided as Exhibit F.2 and shall be utilized as necessary. This Exhibit F.2 will be
the basis for future additional active mining, mined material storage and reclamation combined
with required bonding. Areas per the phasing plan shall be bonded entirely by area when work
encroaches into the said area.
Clearing and grubbing to open up new working areas will not exceed a combined total of one
(1) acre per annum. Annual reclamation work will be commensurate with the acreage of new
working areas opened up the previous year to the best of the operator's ability. For example, if
0.5 acres were disturbed to extend the work areas in 2014, then 0.5 acres would be reclaimed
in the year 2015.
Areas of topsoil replacement will be approximately 4" to 6" in depth. Topsoil is stored near the
active mining in areas where storage of topsoil can physically occur and is convenient for both
removal and replacement.
The final grading of the reclaimed areas will be to the contours as shown on the reclamation
plan. The approximate range of slope gradient at reclaimed areas is 20% to 30% and is intended
to match existing grade.
