Describe how drill holes will be plugged (refer to Rule 5.4 of the Rules for required abandonment procedures):
All holes will be plugged to the surface using inert fill and cement plugs to isolate water
bearing zones. All materials and plugging methods will conform to Rule 5.4 of the Hard
Rock/Metal Mining Rules and Regulations and to any additional standards imposed by the
Bureau of Land Management, state and /or county ordinances or regulations.
10. You may wish to contact the Division for closure specifications.
Once investigations and monitoring at the drill sites are completed, all pits will be backfilled
and closed. The drill pad will be recontoured to blend into existing topography. Any
depressions that were constructed, allowing water to accumulate, will be filled. Any
removed soil will be spread evenly over the disturbed areas and will be reseeded with the
mix under Section 7 of this application (or other seed mix approved by the BLM).
11. Describe how roads will be reclaimed or returned to their pre - prospecting (or better) condition:
Similar procedures as those used on drill pads will be used for roads. Once investigations
and monitoring, all newly constructed access roads will be blended to existing terrain.
Depressions will be graded to drain. Prior to topsoil replacement compacted surfaces will
be ripped to a depth of 18 inches. Removed soil will be spread evenly over the disturbed
areas and will be reseeded with the mix under Section 7 of this application (or other seed
mix approved by the BLM).
