OTHER (SPECIFY):
New nitrogen line has been laid in preparation for new sections of mining. The new line is located parallel to
County Road 65 along the east side.
PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11
Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement:
Refuse was currently being stocked piled on Refuse Pile RP- 2/3/4. Refuse Piles -2/3/4 and 5A were stable with no
issues observed. No major cutting or instability was observed along the side slopes. Both piles are being graded to
allow surface runoff to flow to the perimeter ditches before reaching their associated sediment ponds.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
Return shaft along Longwall 12 has been sealed and the pad reclaimed. The area has been topsoiled and regraded.
SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04:
Newly constructed Return Shaft has recently had a hoist constructed around it. The pad has gravel for sediment
control as well as cross ripped grading along the embankments of the pad. No signs of erosion or cutting along the
pad were observed.
The new nitrogen plant construction is nearing completion. The pad is still in need of sediment control and was
informed by Jeff Dubbert that gravel will be added shortly after construction to act as sediment control.
