TR68 makes changes to the per it text,- exhibits and maps in response to the Mid -term view of October 29, 2012. In addition to the required anges, TR68 revises the reclamation plan to make the succesful establishment of shrubs more viable. Finally, extensive sections of permit text have`i'een re- Written to aid clarity and make future revisions easier to managek logistically. The New Elk Mine is a/an underground coal mine located in Las Animas County, approximately 25 miles W of Trinidad, Colorado. Coal int rest is state and private, and the surface affected is state�and private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 4,198.90 acres.
