RULE 2 - PERMITS
This hypothesis will be tested using methods set forth in Section 4.15.11(2). Hypothesis testing may
include the null or reverse null approach previously referenced or methods described in 4.15.11(3)
where large heterogeneity in shrub density causes large sample sizes and sample variation.
It is proposed that the formal judgment of the stocking of woody plants within the reclaimed area be
200 stems per acre in the background areas of reclamation and 2000 stems per acre in the
concentrated shrub establishment areas and based on the following testable hypothesis:
The density of shrubs will equal or exceed 90 percent of a standard of 200 stems per acre in
background areas and 2000 stem per acre in concentration areas.
In the relatively small Solid Waste Disposal Area the woody density standard will be at only the
background density of 200 stems per acre.
TR09 -2014 2.05 -54 Revision 11/25/2014
