The next stream segment (Lower Upper Cache Creek) (Figure E-3) stream segment within a 350
foot horizontal distance has a vertical drop of approximately 15 feet. The stream gradient is
estimated to be approximately 4 % (25(H): I (V). Table E-2.2 (Exhibit E-Attachment C)
The next stream segment (Middle Cache Creek) stream segment within a 400 foot horizontal
distance has a vertical drop of approximately 30 feet. The stream gradient is estimated to be
approximately. [6%](16(H): I (V) in the upper section and transitions through a natural hydraulic
drop section with an initial gradient of 25% and the lower section of 13%. The stream gradient is
estimated to be approximately [4.5%] (22(H): I (V).Table E-2.4(Exhibit E-Attachment C)
Water Quality Sampling
Gold Basin will be sampling surface water stream and pond discharges in accordance with
CDPHE permit requirements (See Exhibit D, Figure D-1) and in accordance with Colorado
Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (CDRMS) criteria. Gold Basin obtain surface water
samples from three sampling sites on August 13, 2014. The results are presented in Attachment
G -1.
The field parameters summary follows:
The sampling results confirm, water quality conforms to Gold Basin's CDPHE water quality
discharge criteria. N
co
Due to extreme winter conditions sampling will occur during the month of June through
October.
ri
December 28, 2014
Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety
Gold Basin Mine, Inc.
Gold Basin Mine
Granite, Colorado
Temperature
Conductivity
Dissolve
pH
Oxygen
Oxygen
Reducing
Potential
Upper Cache
3.83
26
8.5
7.0
82
Creek
Discharge
12.7
58
8.58
7.65
107
Point 002
Lower Cache
7.81
35
9.25
7.55
122
Creek
I
I
I
I
The sampling results confirm, water quality conforms to Gold Basin's CDPHE water quality
discharge criteria.
