The weather was clear
and seasonably warm. The ground was somewhat muddy in some areas. Snow was encountered in higher shaded
areas, namely in the trees at higher elevations.
The primary purpose of the inspection was to continue an inventory of exploration drill holes (aka bore holes).
Energy Fuels (EFCI), in discussions with the Division and landowners, has decided to perform a field study to
confirm that locations of drill holes on Map 12 in the PAP are correct, correct the locations as necessary, and to
mark the locations on the ground. The other purpose of the study is to assess the condition of the holes, namely if
they have been sealed and reclaimed.
On February 6, Rob Zuber observed the survey by Al Weaver, an EFCI consultant and former mine manager, and
Dr. W.D. Corley, landowner and surveyor. On February 7, Rob Zuber inspected eight drill hole locations that had
been surveyed by Mr. Weaver and Dr. Corley on January 30, 2015.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
Prior to the field survey of drill holes, Mr. Weaver developed a list of holes to be surveyed; this list included
latitude and longitude coordinates, which he determined from Map 12 of the PAP and an algorithm to convert the
values from the Southfield coordinate system. The process for most holes (all but those under the RDA) entailed
the following steps:
Use GPS to navigate to the site using Al Weaver's coordinates, and check the coordinates using Dr. Corley's GPS
system (discussed below).
Check the site for evidence of an existing hole /casing, past drilling, and /or past reclamation. This entailed a walk
of the surrounding half -acre of land (approximately a circle with 83 -foot radius).
Determine a more accurate location of the hole, if necessary, using Dr. Corley's GPS system. (February 6 only.)
Place a piece of galvanized conduit (approximately 0.75 -inch to 1 -inch diameter) on the site as a marker, or (on
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 8
