No new areas were graded topsoiled or seeded; thus a map of 2014
reclamation is not included with this submittal.
One of the major projects was repairing the rill and gullies found on the reclaimed slope
above Pond 6. These areas of erosion were repaired with soil sediment removed from Pond
6. Breaches along the west ditch line above Pond -6 that caused the erosion were repaired.
Nine inch straw wattles were placed on contour along the face of slope reducing the
likelihood of renewed erosion. The impacted areas were then inter - seeded.
Control of noxious weeds continued throughout the 2014 growing season with bi- weekly
inspection of reclamation areas for noxious weeds: predominately Canadian Thistle and
Hounds - tongue. Control was achieved by hand spraying infested areas with Tordon.
Inspection for erosion damage (rills and gullies) on reclaimed areas was included as part of
the bi- weekly weed survey of the general mine area. No new problem areas were identified.
All ditches and culverts were cleared of sediment and repaired as necessary
Please contact me at 303 - 300 -8704 or John Terry at 303 - 300 -8885 if there are any
questions regarding the 2014 Annual Reclamation Report.
Sincerely,
Louis Head
Financial Manager
12250 State Hwy 12 PHONE (303) 300 -8877 Or (303) 300 -8879
Weston, Colorado 81091 FAX ((719) 858 -00444
