The revision was submitted by Western Fuels- Colorado, LLC. All review <br />and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />This revision application proposes to add the Montrose County BB Detour Road to the New <br />Horizon Mine permit area. The BB Road was built by Montrose County adjacent to the western <br />boundary of the existing permit area and was not constructed as part of the mining permit. The <br />proposed area is 2.83 aces and will not be mined. The only disturbance proposed is the BB Detour <br />Road will be reclaimed according to the New Horizon reclamation plan using the topsoil from the <br />permit area. The BB Detour Road will be reclaimed after the reconstruction of Montrose County <br />BB Road has been completed. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside <br />of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 1.7 miles Northwest of Nucla, <br />Colorado.
