Exhibit D <br />Mining Plan <br />Section 6.4.4 <br />Gold Basin Mine, Inc. <br />Gold Basin Mine-Chaffee County <br />Granite, Colorado <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety <br />112 Permit Application <br />Gold Basin Mine is owned by Gold Basin Min, LLC (Exhibit N, Figure N-1) will <br />be operating over the next 20 years during the months of June through the middle <br />of November (weather permitting) in a 32.3 acre permitted mine area. The gold <br />placer mine (Exhibit D, Figure D-1) will process shallow Cache Creek sand, <br />gravels and silt alluvial deposits. Gold Basin mining will occur in areas that are at <br />least a 25 foot offset from the active stream or diversion (Chaffee County Use <br />Permit Stipulation-See Exhibit L). Prior to mining, exploration test pits will be <br />excavated within the permit area using a backhoe and samples will be obtained and <br />assayed by an offsite commercial laboratory (Exhibit D, Figure D-2 and Figure D- <br />3). Other exploration (non-evasive) methods will be employed such as shallow <br />seismic or ground penetrating radar geophysical techniques. <br />During operation, production rates will be approximately 100 tons a day or less. <br />Excavation depths will be less than 25 feet occurring at the top of stream terraces <br />and extending to bedrock. Annual active mining areas will be less than 2 acres- <br />one acre to be located in close proximity to processing units. No explosives or <br />toxic or hazardous chemicals will be used.
