To date,
MCC has completely mined -out longwall panels E1, E2, E3 and E4 and began longwall mining panel E5
during the 2nd Quarter of 2014. At the end of 4th Quarter 2014, MCC had mined out longwall panel E5 up
to cross -cut 33.
Stock pond P -48 was within twice the angle of draw during this quarter. P -48 was inspected in October
with no visible evidence of subsidence, however winter weather and ground conditions did not permit
inspections in November or December. All inspections will continue when road and weather conditions
allow. Mining was not within a mile of Monument Dam. Routine inspection reports for Monument Dam,
Forest Service Roads, and Stock Ponds are included with this letter.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (970) 929 -2308.
Sincerely,
Gam.
Jessica Loveland, P.E.
Environmental Engineer
Enclosures: Monument Dam Inspections — Fourth Quarter 2014
US Forest Service Road Inspections — Fourth Quarter 2014
Stock Pond Inspections — Fourth Quarter 2014
cc: D.
