Therefore, exposure of ground <br />water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The applicant has indicated plans to use water for the following purposes at the permit site: ❑ <br />evaporation, ❑ dust control, ❑ reclamation, ❑ water removed in the mined product, ❑ processing, <br />® other: ore sorting. The applicant will need to document that this water was obtained from a legal <br />source, or was diverted in priority under a water right decreed for such mining/ industrial use. <br />COMMENTS: The subject application is for a surface mining operation on approximately 1 permitted acre of <br />National Forest land. The primary commodities to be mined at the site are gold and silver. The site is <br />proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of pastureland upon completion of this mining operation. <br />The only anticipated use of water at the site it for ore processing. Up to 500 gallons of water is proposed to be <br />stored'in a tank onsite for this purpose. The source of this water was not identified. <br />The proposed mining site will be located approximately 800 feet south of Russell Gulch, an intermittent <br />stream.
