12. Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
Attached are the estimated reclamation costs for the Three Bells Mine, developed to reclaim
the site to Developed Water Storage. The costs have divided by mining locations and phases
within the Three Bells Mine, including Veldman and Ditullio Phases/p nds 1 through 5. The
quantities utilized in the reclamation costs have been developed from the actual designs for
the slope liners and area fills currently being constructed (Veldman) for planned ( Ditullio).
The unit prices presented for the individual items have taken from Engineers Opinions of
Costs (EOC) developed for N4N4MMM for use in bidding the projects. The EOC was
developed based on GEI staff experience in the region on similar projects, and in
consultation with local earthmoving contractors.
The eaFthmeving poi4ion of the reclamation within the Veldman PropeAy has been bid out
and awarded b MMMA,ith constmetion slated to begin inApril 2014. Howe er&s a result
ef the high naneff en the Gaehe !a Peudre River, the pr-ejeetwas delayed until August-te-
September- 2014 (based an site eenditions). The reclamation slope for the Veldman Property
has been completed, and the estimated costs listed in Table 5 reflect the remaining portion of
the reclamation plan. Earthmoving reclamation within the Ditullio portion of the site will be
conducted concurrently with mining. N4N4N4MM }glans to filled in Phase 5 as mining
commenceds within Phase 3. Phases 1, 3, and 4 will be constructed from overburden
material that has been stockpiled onsite or excavated during stripping operations. Phase 2
will be utilized for wash fines during the Ditullio mining operations, and will be feelaimed to
an unlined openwatef p backfilled.
The vegetation acreage has been estimated based on the areas within the permit boundary
outside of the proposed Developed Water Storage (or unlined open water pond), as water
levels within these areas will fluctuate (based on storage needs) and do not require
vegetation.
The reclamation costs are summarized in Table 56 and 7:
GEI Consultants, Inc. 32 Jane January 20145
Three Bells Mine Reclamation Permit Amendment
