(Form 2 — (Public File) <br />B. Drilling shall be conducted in such a way as to prevent cuttings and <br />fluids from directly entering any dry or flowing stream channel. Drill <br />cuttings must be spread to a depth no greater than one -half (1/2) inch or <br />buried in an approved disposal pit; <br />Cuttings and drill fluids will be hauled from cuttings sump (Figure 2 <br />page 1) to an offsite pre approved disposal pit. <br />C. Proper and timely abandonment of drill holes upon completion of <br />drilling; <br />All drill holes will be plugged as drill casing and drill pipe will be removed from a hole with on -site drilling equipment <br />immediately after completion of each hole and plugged in accordance with Colorado State Standards for well <br />closure in accordance with well abandonment regulations (CO Reclamation Requirements 34 -32 -113). The holes <br />will be plugged with Neat Cement Grout. It is assumed that each drill hole would take an average of 5 -10 days to <br />close. The longest any hole would remain open should be no more than 3 days. <br />D. Reclamation of affected lands upon completion of operations or phases <br />of an operation; <br />E. Backfilling and revegetating any pits to blend in with the <br />surrounding land surface; <br />F. Safeguarding mine entries, trenches and excavations from unauthorized <br />entry at all times; <br />Gated and fenced drill pad area. <br />G. Disposal of any trash, scrap metal, wood, machinery, and buildings; <br />Trash will be disposed of in the Lake County Land Fill on a weekly bases. <br />H. Control of noxious weeds within the area affected by the prospector <br />3. The prospecting operations shall be conducted in such a manner as to <br />comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations <br />including applicable state and federal air and water quality laws and <br />regulations. <br />4. The prospecting operations shall be conducted so as to minimize <br />adverse effects upon wildlife to include covering of open drill holes <br />until properly plugged. <br />Fish in Lake Creek will not be affected by drilling program. <br />Drill operations are not located near riparian areas. <br />There is no known threatened, endangered and sensitive wild life known to be in area of proposed drilling <br />operations. <br />5. During the prospecting operations, the operator will perform the <br />necessary stabilization and reclamation work to ensure those areas <br />affected by prospecting activities are erosionally and geotechnically <br />stable. <br />
