reclaimed area. Any settling that may take place will occur under the weight of the stockpiles
and is filled in by the material that is stockpiled.
4. Bonding of Imported Materials: The mining plan for this site is to remove enough material to
meet our needs for one construction season. In turn, the mined area is already open so that the
fill material can be dumped directly into the mined area. We do not anticipate any stockpiles of
non - product material at the site. Also, not all of the fill material is imported material; we have
several operations at this site that develop materials that are not suitable for resale. These
byproducts such as waste material from our soil screening and mixing operation are used as
backfill for the mined area. Additional bonding should not be necessary for this site.
Hopefully this addresses all of your concerns for the Technical Revision at this site. Please contact me if
you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Smith
General Manager
Rocky Mountain Materials and Asphalt, Inc.
719 - 473 -3100
