Hess <br />has been established and duly consummated, in conformity to law, for the Tot one, the southeast Quarter of <br />the northeast quarter, the east half of the southeast quarter and the south- <br />west quarter of the southwest cuarter of Section five, the southeast quar- <br />ter of the southeast quarter of Section six and the north half of the north- <br />east quarter of Section eiiqfit in Township twenty -four south of Aanrs seventy - <br />one nest of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Colorado, containing; three hundred <br />fourteen and thirty -three hundredths acres, <br />according to the ORiclal Plat of the Survey of the said Land, returned to the GENERAL LAND OFFICE by the Surveyor - General: <br />NOW KNOW YE, That there is, therefore, granted by the UNITED STATES unto the said claimant the tract of Land above describedl <br />TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said claimant and to the helra and assigns of <br />the sold claimant forever; subject to any vested and accrued water rights for ndning, agricultural, manufacturing, or other purposes, and <br />rights to ditches and reservoirs used In connection with such water rights, as may be recognized and acknowledged by the local customs, laws, <br />and decisions of courts; and there is reserved from the lands hereby granted, a right of way thereon for ditches or canals constructed by the <br />authority of the United States. Excepting and reserving, however, to the United States all the coal and other minerals In the lands so entered <br />and patented, together with the right to prospect for, mine, and remove the same pursuant to the provisions and limitations of the Act of <br />December 29, 1916 (39 Stall., 862). <br />IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Rarren G.
