The inspection began at 7:30am. A short meeting occurred at the mine headquarters before
heading out on to the mine site. Mr. Ebert- CO DRMS- explained that we would not only be
evaluating the parcels of the permit under consideration for bond release, but, also completing a
partial inspection of the permit.
We began by evaluating the parcels available for bond release. This bond release block is
made up of the following parcels:
Parcel Designation
Acres
-C -05
7.1
-B -09
9.2
-B -10
83.5
-AB -07
38.3
-AB -08
49..8
-AB -09
31
-A -10
15
K -A -10
18
-AB -07
12.9
-AB -08
7.3
Z -A -07
5.7
Per OSMRE Phase II release rules and the DBMS bond release guidance document, the
following items were evaluated:
1.) The condition of the sediment ponds and any needed maintenance on the pond receiving runoff
from the bond release parcels.
The location of these parcels is depicted on the SL 16 bond release maps submitted with the
application. TMI designates each parcel by the pit area/disturbed area the parcel was located
in, the range site classification (as specified in the permit) and the year the parcel was seeded.
For example, parcel A -B -10 designates the parcel was located in the Ashmore Pit, in range site
Band was seeded in 2010. Several of the bond release areas are made up of smaller separate
parcels; the acreage noted above for each of the parcels is the cumulative total area of the
