Access to the site will be by way of an easement through private
property off of Co. Rd. 213 to the west.
An aggregate processing plant will be located within the mining areas as shown on the Mining Plan Map.
The area will contain stockpiles and portable equipment as necessary to support the plant operations.
The permit boundary will encompass approximately 220 acres with approximately 170 acres being
mined. The remaining area will consist of mining buffers, setbacks, access roads, and utility rights-of
way,equipment storage,and an operations area.
Various setbacks from adjacent slopes, manmade structures, and natural drainage features will be
maintained as mining occurs. See Exhibit C, Pre-mining and Mining Plan Map, and the Geotechnical
Slope Stability Report for the mining limit configuration and information of setbacks and their locations.
Products
Sand and Gravel will be the primary product produced from the Bonds Pit site. The principal intended
use for sand and gravel is for road base and construction aggregates.
Subsurface drilling and testing has verified that the Bonds Pit property contains a significant commercial
deposit of sand and gravel. The depth of the overburden ranges from 2'to 34'. The thickness of the
aggregate material ranges from 20'to 60'. The overall depth to bedrock ranges from 30'to 100+'. See
Exhibit I, Soils Information, for detailed data on the nature, depth, and thickness of the soil strata
present in the property area.
Mining Methods
The deposit will be dry mined with diversion berms constructed around the perimeter of each mining
phase prior to commencing mining operations.
