Tabetha Lynch, DRMS
Page 2
January 15, 2015
Rule 2.05.3(4)
Ponds impoundments, other treatment facilities and diversions; general plan detailed design for each
along with map of location and cross section, as well as maintenance, PE, submission to state engineer
and MSHA. Applicable to this PR in the interest of how the flooded mine workings water will be
handled, if is to be brought to the surface.
Mine operations in relation to the movement or removal of water from the overlying flooded Wadge
Seam mine workings have not been clearing specified in this PR.
"TC is currently developing detailed mine dewatering plans, which will be submitted for CDRMS review
and approval prior to initiating any mining in the affected areas." (p. 2.04 -11)
Rational for not including this information in this PR is that the initial development and mining of WC-
9RT through 5RT would not be affected by the currently pooled water.
A general discussion of water handling of additional WCF inflows and transfer of water from overlying
flooded areas is provided (p. 2.05 -139).
Rule 2.05.6(3)(b)(iii) and (iv)
Probable hydrologic consequences, quantity and quality in all seasonal conditions, additions to the
monitoring plan or reclamation.
Additional monitoring wells have been added to the monitoring network. Table 7 and Map 13
Quantity and quality are discussed in relation to probably hydrologic consequence.
