OXBOW MINING, LLC
3737 Hwy 133 P.O. Box 535 Somerset, Colorado 81434 USA Tel (970)929 -5122 Fax
(970)929 -5177
January 8, 2015
Mr. Jim Stark
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Co. 80203
Re: Terror Creek LLC., Permit C- 1983 -059
2014 Annual Hydrologic Report
Dear Mr. Stark,
RECEplon
JAN W5
Please accept this letter as the 2014 Annual Hydrologic Report for the Terror Creek LLC., Terror
Creek Loadout. As the Division is aware, due to lack of sales, the facility is largely idled with
some domestic coal screened for local markets utilizing a small portable screening plant.
Mr. Chad Koncher, (TCLLC Operations Foreman) was also interviewed with respect to the
status of the sediment pond and dugout pond during 2014. During 2014 no water discharges
occurred. No water monitoring was performed or was required at the site.
Water is used at the loadout for dust suppression and office use. The shower facility has been
removed from service. Dust suppression includes water sprays on coal conveyors and water
applied to roadways. The loadout has two sources of water. A domestic well supplies water for
the office and showers and water from the Deer Trail Ditch is used for dust suppression. There is
no record kept of consumptive use during the year.
Please call me at 970 - 929 -5806 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
James A.
