Dear Ms. Burgmaier:
The DRMS transmitted is adequacy review for MR -168 via e -mail on December 17, 2014. On behalf of
BRL, following are its responses to the DRMS' comment and concerns.
1. The last two sentences of proposed page 2.05 -52 are duplicative of the first two sentences of
currently approved page 2.05 -53 (PR -12 2/10). Please revise proposed page 2.05 -52 to remove the last
two sentences of the last paragraph.
BRL - Revised page 2.05 -52 is attached.
2. The first paragraph of revised page 2.05 -106 includes a list of maps depicting various
components of the sedimentation control plan. The list includes Map 22 -D (presumably a detailed
drawing of Pond D). The Division's copy of the approved permit application package does not include a
Map 22 -D, and the detailed drawings of Pond D are located in Volume IV. Please correct the map
reference for Pond D on proposed page 2.05 -106, or provide a proposed Map 22 -D.
BRL - The reference to Map 22 -D was removed from page 2.05 -106.
3. Proposed pages 2.05 -45i through 2.05 -45x list all of the underground openings that have been
constructed under the Bowie No. 2 Mine permit (including holes drilled under the Bowie No. 1 permit
that have been incorporated into Bowie No. 2). We appreciate the effort BRL has undertaken to compile
an accurate and complete list. Comparing the proposed list to previously submitted abandonment
reports and Map 9, it appears that some holes may have been inadvertently omitted from the list.
a. The 2007 well abandonment reports include GVB- WD -1A. This hole is also listed on page 2.05-
44, and on Map 9 as Identifier 078, but does not appear to be listed on pages 2.05 -45i through -x.
Please include the diameter and depth information for GVB -WD -1A on the list on page 2.05 -45i
through —x.
