PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Twentymile Coal, LLC (TC), 29515 Routt County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, has
<br />submitted an application for a Permit Revision (PR) to the Foidel Creek Mine, Permit Number C -82-
<br />056. The revision (PR14 -10) addresses a modification to the existing approved mining plans to include
<br />development and mining of owned and leased coal reserves in the Wolf Creek Coal Seam. These
<br />activities will specifically include ongoing development and mining of thirteen longwall panels,
<br />development of an internal (underground) ventilation and utility shaft, and related ancillary activities,
<br />including underground dewatering activities and extension of mine ventilation and support systems.
<br />This Permit Revision includes an addition to the Mine Permit Area of approximately 160 acres.
<br />The current mine permit area encompasses approximately 22,450 acres, located approximately 23
<br />miles southwest of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road 33, and approximately 7.3 miles
<br />northwest of Oak Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and major surface facilities are
<br />located adjacent to Foidel Creek, near the intersection of these two roads. The mine permit area is
<br />covered by the Cow Creek, Dunkley, Milner, Mount Harris, Oak Creek, and Rattlesnake Butte USGS
<br />7.5 minute quadrangle maps. The lands affected by the proposed revision are located in Sections 8, 9,
<br />10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, and 22, T5N, R86W; and surface owners for these areas include TC,
<br />the State of Colorado, Ashley Investments, LLC, and Camilletti & Sons. The affected area under this
<br />Permit Revision will extend to within 100 feet of portions of Routt County Road 33 in the SE /4 and
<br />S/2 NE /4 Section 14 and the NW /4 Section 13, T5N, R86W. The Mine Permit Area includes all or
<br />portions of Sections 7 through 9, T4N, R86W; T5N, R86W, except Sections 34 through 36; and
<br />Sections 13, 22 through 24, 25 through 27, and 34 through 36, T5N, R87W. The ownership, precise
<br />location, and boundaries of lands within the Permit are identified on pages 2.03 -13 through 2.08 -18
<br />and 2.03 -22 and 2.03 -23.1, and Maps 1 and 2, of the Mine Permit Application Package (PAP), and are
<br />included in this public notice by reference.
<br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Technical Revision application, (less confidential
<br />material) are available for inspection at the mine office and the office of the Colorado Division of
<br />Reclamation, Mining, and Safety. Copies of the Permit Revision application are also available for

<br />Written comments or objections or any request for informal conference relative to the Permit Revision
<br />application, or any request for a public hearing (to be held in the local area, if requested) relative to
<br />proximity to a the public road right -of -way and potentially affected public or landowner interests,
