C.D. # 16522 <br />Permit Revision for a Dual Tourist Mine/Mining Use. <br />RECEIVED <br />` fFC 3 0 2014 <br />DIVISION OF RECLAMATION <br />MINING AND SAFETY <br />V-*" <br />Effective January 1, 2015, the Smuggler Mine will change operations to accommodate a <br />Dual Tourist Mine/Mining Use. <br />Operations will be as follows: <br />Mining: <br />Mining will be conducted starting November 1 st of every year through April 30th of the <br />following year. <br />Mining operations will consist primarily of continued exploration and rehabilitation of <br />existing workings. Samples may be taken for evaluation. High grading of known <br />deposits that are available may also be extracted. The Mining will take place throughout <br />all existing workings that are currently accessible. <br />Tourist Operations: <br />The mine will be open to the public for tours starting May 1St of every year and tours will <br />continue through October 31 St. <br />Tours will be conducted in the same areas of the mine as they have been in the past. <br />There will be no changes to the tour route currently in use. During the tour dates, all <br />Mining (as described above) will cease. <br />
