The area <br />under consideration is located in T. 5 N., R. 87 W., Sec. 1 -5, 8 -16, 21, 22, 6th Principle <br />Meridian. <br />The Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has reviewed the application and the existing Peabody <br />Sage Creek Mine Fish and Wildlife Plan for Coal Mining Special Use Permit. We appreciate the <br />opportunity to provide input and based on information that is included in the Peabody Sage <br />Creek Mine Fish and Wildlife Plan for Coal Mining Special Use Permit, we would like to <br />reiterate that: <br />"All disturbed areas will be restored to their pre - mining condition and use through <br />removal of surface structures; backfilling, grading and contouring the areas, and <br />revegetating, the areas with diverse native plant species unless otherwise approved by <br />CDRMS and CDOW ". <br />CPW appreciates the opportunity to review the Peabody Sage Creek Mine Technical Revision <br />for vegetation success criteria for the existing solid waste disposal area. <br />Please contact Brett Smithers, Land Use Specialist at 970- 878 -6069 if you have any questions <br />or would like clarification. <br />Bob D.
