A total of four more samples were received on January 31, 2014
and May 21, 2014 for compositing and subsequent environmental characterization testing.
Compositing procedures and testing splits for each sample are detailed below. Samples for static
ABA analysis were submitted to SVL Analytical for Mod ABA with paste pH. MWMP (ASTM
E2242-13) and kinetic humidity cell (D5744-13, Option A) tests were run on select samples and
extracts were submitted to Western Environmental Laboratories (WET Lab) for NDEP profile II
plus uranium, ammonia, conductivity and hardness.
SAMPLE PREPARATION AND FEED ANALYSES
BDP-F1391-051113 Sample
The sample was staged crushed using a jaw crusher to 100%-1/4" (—S P80 10 mesh) and was
thoroughly blended and split using a riffle splitter to obtain— 1.5 kg for humidity cell testing and
0.25 kg for Mod ABA static ARD potential testing. Mod ABA split was shipped to SVL
Analytical Inc.
Composite Samples
A total of four samples were received for compositing. Sample ID's and splits for compositing
are listed in Table 1. Four composites were generated for testing. Splits for testing and analyses
for all samples are listed in Table 2. The BDP-ABATC-112213 and the BDP-TC-112213
samples were individually split to obtain samples for ABA analysis and were then combined for
subsequent compositing.
In association with H.J.
