New Horizon Mine Annual Hydrology Report <br />Rule 4.05.13(4)(c) Annual Hydrology Report Requirements <br />(i) Water quantity monitoring data is presented Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 of this report. <br />(ii) Water quality monitoring data is presented in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 of this report. <br />Discharge monitoring reports (DMR) are submitted to the Colorado Department of Public <br />Health and Environment on a monthly basis. Copies of each DMR are provided to the Division <br />during the report year and are included in this report by reference only. Whole effluent toxicity <br />(WET) testing data is provided in Appendix 3 (summary pages and Chains of Custody). <br />(iii) A written interpretation of the data has not been included as it has not been requested by <br />the Division in accordance with Rule 4.05.13(4)(c)(iii). <br />The monitoring timeframe for this annual hydrology report is from October 2013 through <br />September 2014. <br />A description of the surface and ground water monitoring plan including the monitoring <br />frequency is located in Section 2.04.7. All monitoring locations are shown on Map 2.04 -7 -1A <br />and summarized on Table 2.04.7 -1. This above mentioned information can be located in Permit <br />No. C- 1981 -008. <br />General Discussion <br />Surface Water <br />Surface water monitoring sites are comprise of several sites which comprise the current, <br />upstream and downstream condition and are briefly described below. Please see Map 2.04.7 - <br />1A for locations. <br />• SW -N102 is located on a tributary of Calamity Draw and is also the NPDES discharge <br />point for Pond 007. SW -N103 represents the downstream condition and SW -N108 <br />represents the upstream condition. <br />• SW -N104 is located at the inlet of the 26" HDPE pipe on the West Lateral Ditch <br />upstream of the mine permit area. <br />• SW -N1 is located on Tuttle Draw and represents the upstream condition above mining. <br />• SW -N3 is located on Tuttle Draw and represents the downstream condition below <br />mining. <br />Surface monitoring data for all sites listed above can be found in Appendix 1. <br />Page 2 <br />
