3.15 COLD WEATHER CONSTRUCTION <br />Special provisions are required for slurry management and backfill when the air temperatures drop below <br />32 degrees Fahrenheit. <br />A. Ice forming on the surface of the trench slurry shall be excavated and cast aside each morning <br />prior to beginning digging or backfilling. <br />B. Supplemental fines stockpiles shall be stripped of snow, ice, and frozen materials prior to <br />beginning mixing or backfilling operations. <br />C. Backfill containing snow, ice, frozen materials, or frost shall not be placed in the trench. <br />3.16 DOCUMENTATION <br />Results of all tests performed shall be recorded in a format acceptable to the Engineer. These results will be <br />available to the Engineer at all times on site. Copies of all quality control documents will be submitted <br />weekly to the Engineer.
