DIVISION 1- GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
SECTION 01700 - CONTRACT CLOSEOUT
1.01 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES
The following project closeout procedure defines the responsibilities of the Contractor, Owner and
Engineer in closing the project:
Step 1: Contractor advises the Engineer in writing that he has reached "Substantial Completion" and
provides a list of items to be completed or corrected.
Closeout may be conducted by areas or portions of the work if requested by the Owner.
Step 2: Engineer observes the work to determine if it is substantially complete, and issues a "Punch List"
of items to be completed or corrected.
Step 3: Contractor completes and/or corrects all punch list items and notifies the Engineer in writing that
his work is ready for final inspection.
Step 4: Engineer makes final examination. When the work is found to be acceptable, the Contractor will
prepare a final construction report and as-built plans.
END OF SECTION
Wattenberg Resource Pond 3 Slurry Wall Section 01700 — Contract Closeout
Page 1
