Bromley Ln <br />Brighton, CO 80601 <br />it <br />Habitat Management <br />Environmental & Natural Resource Services <br />Re: Notice of Application for Phase I Bond Release of Selected Areas of the Coors Energy <br />Company Keenesburg Mine (DRMS Permit C- 1981 -028) <br />Dear Sir or Madam, <br />Coors Energy Company has filed an application for a Phase I bond release work completed at the <br />Keenesburg Mine with the Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (DRMS, permit <br />C- 1981 -028) in accordance with the approved reclamation plan. The Phase I bond release <br />application requests release of bond and liability for successfully completing backfilling and <br />grading in Areas 30, 31, and 32 encompassing approximately 27.1 acres within the mine site. <br />These areas are located within Section 25 of Township 3 North, Range 64 West of the 6th <br />Principal Meridian, Weld County, Colorado. The permit area is located seven miles north of <br />Keenesburg Colorado and is accessed by Weld County Road 59. <br />As required by Colorado law, whenever bond release is requested, all interested or affected <br />parties with a valid legal interest must be notified and afforded the opportunity to comment or <br />request an informal conference on the bond release in accordance with Rule 3.03.2(3) of the <br />Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. <br />This letter will serve to notify you that Coors Energy Company is requesting Phase I liability and <br />bond release in the amount of $321,794 of the total calculated current reclamation bond amount <br />of $1,971,874. A copy of the entire bond release application will be on file for public review at <br />the DRMS (1313 Sherman St, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203), the Weld County Clerk and <br />Recorder's Office (1402 N 17th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631), the Keenesburg Town Hall in <br />Keenesburg, CO during the review period.
