2.05.3
Reclamation of this haul road will involve returning the road to its pre- mining
contours. The road will be returned to its relative flat configuration as shown
on Map 18 Post Mining Topography. The material from the wash plant
excavation that was used to construct this road segment will be returned to
the wash plant site to bring the site back to approximate original contours.
3) Haul Road for gob pile access.
A discussion of the haul road for the gob pile access is presented in Volume
IV, Coal Mine Waste Bank Final Design for the Bowie No. 2 Mine, prepared
by WESTEC.
4) Haul Road to B -Seam Portals
General Requirements
This road segment is approximately 400 feet long. Reference Map 16, Haul
Road Plan & Profile - Gob Pile. This road provides access to the B -Seam
portals. Drainage from this road is contained in sediment ponds.
• Dust control on this road segment includes gravel surfacing and watering to
maintain surface moisture.
The truck traffic which will utilize this haul road segment will be 10 and 18
wheel haul trucks. A 30 -foot wide road surface should be adequate for these
haul trucks. Vehicle traffic should have no problem with this road
configuration. The maximum pitch grade form this road is 10 %.
Design and Construction
For the construction of this road segment, all vegetation material and topsoil
will be removed from the design road bed, shoulders, and surfaces where
associated structures will be placed. Topsoil will be placed in one of the
topsoil stockpiles located on site. No vegetation material or topsoil will be
placed beneath or in any haul road embankment.
The embankment specification presented above applies to this road
segment.
0 PR -12 2.05-30- 02/10
/ PP2ovbD
rr ls%lo
