Mr. George V. Patterson, General Manager
Energy Fuels Coal, Inc.
P.O. Box 459
Florence, CO 81226
November 23, 2014
RE: Southfield Office Document Review for Drill Hole "SR -69"
Dear George,
I reviewed the email from W.D. Corley to you, dated 11 / 19/14. In this Corley has compiled a list
of exploratory drill holes that were not searched for (by Corley and me) in June, 2014. This list
includes 46 "SR" and "SF" series drill holes. An additional 9 "SR" holes are listed that he
believes are buried by the Refuse Pile or covered by reclamation of the facilities area. Corley
states that he reviewed 5 different mine related maps to compile the list.
Corley includes a drill hole "SR -69" within the above list. With the exception of this hole, all
other listed drill holes are shown on Map 12 (Mine Area Surface and Groundwater Hydrology).
In the mine office I reviewed all of the maps referenced by Corley, specifically Southfield Mine,
rev. 12/15/00; 1988 Drill Site Map, Exhibit IA; Southfield Mine Permanent Closure Map, Sheets
1 and 2; Mine Area Surface and Groundwater Hydrology, Map 12, rev. 10/12; and Drill Hole
Map, Map 2. There was no "SR -69" on any of these maps.
I concluded my research by reviewing a copy of the Geologic Database and Coal Reserves,
Southfield Mine issued by Glenn Miller in September 1990. This report includes all known drill
holes in and adjacent to the Southfield permit area. In this report I reviewed all the holes
included in the "Drill Hole Summary" document and found, as above, no reference to a "SR -69"
drill hole.
In summary, based on the above research, I believe that there is no "SR -69" drill hole in the
Southfield Mine area.
Respectfully submitted,
Allen S.
