November 18, 2014 C- 1980- 004/McClane Canyon Mine ZTT <br />stockpile area. Once the sediment has dried, it will be placed back at the sediment drying area above the pond. All <br />sediment and drainage from the portal area report to the sediment pond. <br />General site cleanup is still ongoing. The mine has actively cleaned the majority of the sediment that was collected <br />from the large precipitation event that occurred in September and has reestablished drainage control throughout <br />the site. <br />PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br />The mine is actively cleaning up coal fines that were spread around the site due to the September storm. <br />Additional cleaning is still needed, most notably along the western end of the permit boundary below the sediment <br />pond. These fines need to be removed and placed in a designated storage area. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Mine identification sign was located at the bridge entrance to the mine site. All information for compliance was <br />located on the sign. <br />Topsoil pile marker was located onto of the pile located west of the sediment pond. <br />Disturbance boundary markers were located along disturbance areas and no issues were observed. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Topsoil pile located west of the sediment pond was stable and vegetated.
