MCC and Forest Service (FS) personnel conducted field reviews of the new
pad locations earlier this Fall. As a result, pad locations previously approved in PR -14 for
MDWs E6 -14 & 18 (now E6-16), E6 -21.5 (now E6 -15), and E6 -25 (now E6 -14) were shifted
approximately 400' to the north to lessen disturbance. There are no changes proposed in
the previously approved road alignments.
The new locations were evaluated by the FS to identify any previously undocumented
cultural resources, T &E species and other resources of special interest. The FS will
document the findings of these evaluations during this revision process.
Also included is a change to permit page 2.05 -87 to clarify that abandonment reports
will be prepared and submitted at the conclusion of the drilling and reclamation season
(which occurs over several weeks to months), but typically by the end of the calendar
year in which the plugging and abandonment project is completed.
Please contact me at (970) 929 -2238 or by e -mail should you have questions regarding
this submittal.
Sincerely,
Kathleen G. Welt,
Environmental Engineer III
cc: Dan Gray - USFS
