Therefore, exposure of ground <br />water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The applicant has indicated plans to use water for the following purposes at the permit site: ❑ <br />evaporation, ® dust control, ❑ reclamation, ❑ water removed in the mined product, ® processing, <br />® other: unspecified gravel mining. <br />The applicant will need to document that the water was obtained from a legal source, or the water <br />was diverted in priority under a water right decreed for such industrial use. <br />COMMENTS: The subject application is for a surface mining operation on 103.54 permitted acres located <br />approximately 13 miles northeast of New Raymer. The primary commodities to be mined at the site are sand <br />and gravel for road base/ construction materials. The site is proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of <br />rangeland upon completion of this mining operation. <br />No groundwater is anticipated to be encountered at the site, and no watering is planned for reclaimed areas. <br />Water requirements for gravel mining and processing are expected to be minimal.
