November 6, 2014 C- 1981 - 041 /Roadside Portals BFB <br />Water was flowing through Outfall 016 but the flow was not measured. <br />The 6 culverts under the Coal Creek access road by Pond 6 were free and clear of obstructions (photo 4). <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />A few tamarisk trees were seen in the ditch below the Roadside Refuse Disposal area south of the former <br />Pond 8. These trees are still small and should be treated as soon as possible. <br />The Roadside Refuse Disposal Area was well vegetated. There were no signs of rills or gullies. <br />Sub - stations A (photo 5) and B (photo 6) were well vegetated and there were no signs of rills or gullies. <br />The reclaimed ponds 6 (photo 7), 10, 11, 13 and CBA #1 Sump were all well vegetated and there were no signs of <br />rills or gullies. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Pond 8 was reseeded and mulched in October 2014 (photo 8). <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Mine identification signs with all the required information of Rules 4.02.2 and 4.30.2(3) are visible at the <br />I -70 Exit 46 (photo 9) and the North Decline entrances. <br />Disturbance markers were in place at the compressor /substation area, 2 West Portals (North and South), soil <br />storage area, South fan, sub - station B and sub - station A. <br />Disturbance markers were in place at the greasewood reference area. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS /COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
