4.28 COAL PROCESSING PLANTS AND SUPPORT FACILTI'IES NOT LOCATED AT OR NEAR THE MINE <br />STI'E OR NOT WITHIN THE PERMTT AREA FOR THE MINE <br />As noted in Section 2.05.3, Operation Plan -Permit Area, all active coal handling and support facilities related to the <br />Eagle Mines will be located within the planned permit area. The location of these facilities is shown on the Structures <br />and Renewable Resources Map (Map 25). Since no coal handling or support facilities associated with the EC operations <br />will be located outside the permit boundaries, [his section is not applicable. <br />4.29 IN SITU PROCESSING <br />EC has no plans to conduct any in situ mining or processing in conjunction with the mining operations. Therefore, this <br />section of the performance standards is not applicable. <br />4.30 CESSATION OF OPERATIONS <br />4.30.1 TEMPORARY <br />EC has notified the DMG as the operation is in temporary cessation. The notice of temporary cessation included a <br />statement of the exact number of acres, which have been disturbed prior to cessation, the extent and nature of reclamation <br />activities, which have been completed on disturbed areas prior to cessation, identification of backfilling, regrading, <br />revegetation, environmental monitoring, and water treatment activities, which will continue during the period of <br />cessation, and a description of the circumstances resulting in the decision to temporarily cease mining operations, and if <br />known, the date when it is anticipated that mining and related operations will resume. In [he event that it becomes <br />necessary to temporarily cease mining and reclamation operations, EC will continue to support and maintain all existing <br />mine-related facilities during the period of cessation. <br />4.30.2 PERMANENT <br />Upon the completion of all mining activities, or if due to unforeseen circumstances, it becomes necessary to permanently <br />cease mining and related operations, EC will close, backfill, and otherwise permanently reclaim all areas disturbed by the <br />mining and related operations in accordance with the reclamation plan presented in Section 2.05.5, Reclamation Plan. <br />Upon permanent cessation of the mining and reclamation operations, EC will remove all equipment, structures, and other <br />facilities and will reclaim any related disturbed areas. Only the main access road and old Highway 13 as discussed in <br />Section 2.04, Reclamation Plan, and Pond 9A-Plwill remain upon completion of final reclamation. <br />Permit Revision 04-34 4.01-15 Revised 7/2/04 <br />
