4.11.3 RETURN TO UNDERGROUND WORKINGS <br />BTU EC does not plan to return any coal mine waste to underground workings. <br />4.11.4 DISPOSAL OF NON-COAL WASTE <br />Non-coal wastes that meet the criteria of Rule 4.11.4, will be disposed of in the Solid Waste Disposal <br />area, as discussed in Section 2.05, and shown on Map 25, Structures and Renewable Resources. <br />4.11.5 DAMS AND EMBANKMENTS <br />BTU EC has no plans to construct any dams or embankments of coal processing waste and no coal <br />processing waste will be impounded in conjunction with the mining operations or related activities. <br />Therefore, the requirements of this section are not applicable. <br />4.12 SLIDES AND OTHER DAMAGE <br />BTU. EC has reviewed all available geologic and geotechnical information relating to the BTU EC site <br />and has developed an operations plan, which assures the stability of all portal and facility areas. <br />With any mining operation, a potential exists for minor slides to occur. Should a slide occur which would <br />potentially affect public property, health, safety, or the environment, BTU EC will notify the Division, <br />and in cooperation with the Division, develop and implement any corrective measures which may be <br />required. <br />4.13 CONTEMPORANEOUS RECLAMATION <br />All backfilling, grading and topsoil replacement operations will be conducted as contemporaneously as <br />possible. The reclamation plans and timetable for the various disturbed areas are presented in Section <br />2.05.4 Reclamation Plan. <br />4.14 BACKFILLING AND GRADING <br />BTU EC will backfill and .grade all areas disturbed incident to underground mining activities in <br />accordance with the time schedule approved by the Division, as a condition of the pei~rnit. The <br />reclamation plan for all active disturbed areas is presented in Section 2.05 Mining and Reclamation Plan. <br />The reclamation of the Williams Fork Strip Pit is presented in Exhibit 24, Williams Fork Strip Pit <br />Reclamation Plan. <br />4.15 REVEGETATION REQUIREMENTS <br />4.15.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />BTU EC will establish a diverse, effective, and permanent vegetative cover on all disturbed areas within <br />the permit boundaries. The vegetative cover will consist predominately of native species and will include <br />adaptive introduced species identified as valuable and compatible with the postmining land-use. <br /> <br />TR07=34 4.01-9 10/31 /07 <br />
